Lao Telecom takes over VimpelCom Ltd Ltd

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – The Lao Telecommunications Company, a leading comprehensive telecommunications operator in the country, has acquired VimpelCom Ltd for US$42 million.

Customers of Beeline will be able to continue using network number 7 with the network of number 5 as of January.
